Prendeville Tops Second Practice Session 
And Qualifies Tenth
Saturday at Kansas Speedway
 
KANSAS CITY, Kan., April 25 - Andrew Prendeville was first or second in 
both Firestone Indy Lights practice sessions Saturday at Kansas Speedway, and 
later in the day he qualified a solid tenth for Sunday's Kansas Lottery 100.  
 
Driving Team Moore Racing's Xtreme Coil Drilling No. 2, the Henderson, 
Nev.-based driver recorded laps in 29.3834 (186.228 miles per hour) and 29.5959 
(184.890 mph) during time trials for a combined time of 58.9793 (185.557 
mph).  He was the third driver in the qualifying order.  
 
Wade Cunningham, the 20th of 24 drivers out, got the pole with a combined 
time of 58.3812 (187.458 mph).
 
Prendeville, a New Jersey native, was second in the first practice session 
Saturday morning with a 28.9895 (188.758 mph), and he topped the 24-car 
field in the second practice session later Saturday morning with a 29.1613 
(187.646 mph).
 
"The car was good," Prendeville said right after qualifying.  "Coming out 
of Turn 2 on the second lap we lost momentum for some reason though, and that 
hurt us.  But we've been fast all day.  Our car is fast in traffic too, so 
I'm not too concerned.  The team is going a good job."
 
"We had a great day," said Team Moore Racing's Mark Moore a little later.  
"Our car lost fuel pressure on the second lap, which cost us three-tenths of 
a second.  We feel we have a great race car for tomorrow.  We're glad the 
rain held off, because being able to qualify gained us seven positions.  If 
the field would have been set by the current entrant point standings due to 
rain, we would have been 17th."
 
It sprinkled off an on all day Saturday.  Although the rain held off for 
time trials, 13 mph winds were measured during the session, and a thunderstorm 
interrupted the NASCAR truck race that followed Firestone Indy Lights 
qualifying. There was also a tornado and hail reported in the area Saturday night.
 
The weather forecast for Sunday calls for a 60 percent chance of 
precipitation and winds ranging from 9-18 mph. 
 
Tomorrow's 67-lap race on the 1.52-mile tri-oval is scheduled to start at no
on local time and 1 p.m. Eastern time. Updates and hopefully live coverage
